Our project staff attended the Davao Del Sur Coir Industry Stakeholders Forum, last November 25, 2020, held at Crisbelle Crown Center, hosted by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The event is participated by various coconut farmers organizations from different municipalities. Two of our partner organizations also attended the forum, namely, BCS, MPC, and BUCOFA. Mr. Jojo Ibanez, was invited as one of the resource persons and he presented the Integrated Rural Development Foundation’s (IRDF) Programs and Services– highlighting IRDF’s 4 major areas of intervention and its current initiatives with Coconut Smallholder Farmer Organizations; its engagements with its off takers: Franklin Baker, Danone, Mars, Biogrow, L3F; and the support given by the Danish Government thru its DANIDA program, the Danish Market Development Partnerships.
